Whine and WIPs Week Two and Miss Valentine

For the last week, I've been working on my second project for the Whine and WIPs SAL in Stitch Maynia, Butterfly Rose Cross from HAED.

I've been working one hour a day on the piece each day before I do any other stitching. This is where I started back on July 8th:

And here is where I ended up seven hours of work later:

There is A LOT of blue in this piece, but I was able to finish one shade (3768) before moving onto the next most prevalent color I had left on this page (161). I really think that the next time this piece comes up, if I work hard, I might be able to have a page finish, which would be exciting! I will be starting another Whine and WIPs piece today and will share what a week of working on it will bring next week!

I also worked on Miss Valentine by Mirabilia yesterday:

Here is where I stopped with her yesterday:

Lots and lots of pink! I'm doing her on 28 Jobelan in Amour from Hand Dyed Fabrics by Stephanie using the called for Crescent Colorworks flosses. I just love her so far, even if all we have at this moment is a skirt with lots of holes in it! Ha!

Until next time!

Christmas Elegance

Yesterday I got to work on Christmas Elegance by Mirabilia.

I really love the Mirabilia pieces and though I didn't get a lot of time to work on this yesterday, I was able to make some more progress on her gloves.

I really do love this fabric - it's 32 Belfast in Silent Night from Under The Sea Fabrics. It's really a beautiful purple/navy combo and it's just a lot of fun to work with!

Until next time!

Stitch Maynia - Miss Valentine

Yesterday was a very pink filled day as I started on Miss Valentine by Mirabilia:

I really liked how everything came in the kit, but I didn't like the fabric, so I subbed it out for 28 Jobelan in Amour from Hand Dyed Fabrics by Stephanie for a full pretty in pink effect. Here's where I got to yesterday:

This is my first time working with Crescent Colors since that is the thread that came with the kit, and I really liked it! I think this is also going to be a relatively quick stitch. I have the Easter Fairy in this set in my stash, I'd love to find the others to do but I believe many of them are hard to find. We'll see!

Today is my son's fifth birthday, so we shall see how much stitching I actually do today - probably won't be much until he goes to bed!

Until next time!

Stitch Maynia - Christmas Elegance and Taurus

Yesterday was the first day of Stitch Maynia! Fifteen starts in fifteen days! Yay! Because it's easiest for me to keep track of, I'm working on my pieces in alphabetical order. Yesterday's new start was Christmas Elegance by Mirabilia.

I have several Mirabilia patterns in my stash, but this is my first one to actually work on, and it was the first Mirabilia pattern I ever purchased! Here is where I got to yesterday:

I am stitching this on 32 count Belfast in Silent Night from Under the Sea Fabrics. I think it's going to look amazing on this when it's all said and done!

Yesterday also saw the release of the Taurus section of the Walking Through The Stars Zodiac Sampler. Here is where I got to before bed called my name:

Not too much left! I'll get this finished today as well as work on my next start for Stitch Maynia! Incidentally, my son is a Taurus and though I think he's too young yet to really fully embrace his sign (he turns five on the 7th), I can already see some of the Taurus traits in him! I'll give the full description that came with the pattern tomorrow with the completed pattern.

Until next time!
