Yesterday I was very tired and had a long day (it was definitely a Monday!) so I didn't get a ton of stitching done yesterday but I did work some on Fall Fairy from Dimensions Gold Collection.
I primarily worked more on her hair in this part of the pattern yesterday. Here is where I finished up:
I'm moving along slowly but surely! Also, the Sneak Peek for the next installment of the Story Time Sampler came out:
Based on the clue that the Pumpkins gave about this being from a poem AND the fact that they let us know this one was going to be one of the choices when the SAL first started, my guess is that this is the Lady of Shalott! We shall see this evening when it comes out!
Until next time!

Fall Fairy
Even though it's the early days of spring, I spent some time celebrating autumn yesterday by working on Fall Fairy:
The more I work on this piece, the more I love it. I don't know if it's the colors or the subject matter or what, but it's just a real pleasure to work on this piece. Here is how far I was able to get yesterday:
She's really starting to come to life, I think! Can't wait to work on her again!
Until next time!

Fall Fairy
Just a quick post as I have a lot to do today!
I spent some time on Fall Fairy last night.
While I adore the various shades of orange and yellow, it was nice to see a bright spot of blue when I stopped last night:
The fabric itself is blue and that doesn't reflect well in this picture, but the colors of the piece itself really are that lovely!
Off to work on my to do list!
Until next time!

Fall Fairy
TGIF! I have always loved fairies. I can't tell you exactly why, whether it's because of what they represent or the stories you hear about them or something else entirely. And I don't only mean Tinkerbelle type pixies, but fairies of all shape and size. They are one of my favorite subjects to write about and to stitch! I have four fairies in my current rotation and LOTS of fairies on my Wish List to stitch one day.
Yesterday, I worked on the second of the four fairies in my current rotation, Fall Fairy! She's more than a blob now!
I fell in love with the rich autumn colors in this kit and really enjoyed working with them yesterday, even if right now the colors I want to see most in my life are those of spring! Winter can end anytime it wants, and I'm not even being hit that hard. I just don't like the cold!
Until next time!

Stitchy Fairies!
Today I feel like I'm surrounded by stitchy fairies! Tonight, I worked on Fall Fairy from my CJC choices this year. I went from this:
To this:
I love the colors on this piece!
I also got visited by the stitchy fairy in the mail and had not one, not two, but THREE packages of wonderful stitchy goodies! I got my fabric of the month from Silkweaver's, my fabric of the month and some sale orders from Under the Sea Fabrics, and wonderful threads from Mo's Sale on Facebook! I'm a pretty happy girl!
In clockwise order starting from the top left, the fabrics are Seaside Melody from Silkweaver's, Lilypad FOTM, Vanilla Mist, Cosmos and Carribean Tides, all from Under the Sea Fabrics. All have been added to my Fabric Stash List!
Until next time!

Theme-A-Licious - Jardin January Mid-Month Check In
This year I decided to take part in the Theme-A-Licious SAL, and today is the mid month check in for January! Because of how my rotation schedule works, I am planning on using this SAL to review pieces I work on each month and figure out what I've done to fit in the monthly theme. This month's theme is Jardin January:
Jardin January
The holidays were a little stressful...let's relax in a nice garden. Work on any piece with flowers or gardens. So far this month, I've worked on the following pieces with flowers/gardens in the piece (even if I haven't gotten to that part of the piece yet!):
Butterfly Rose Cross by Heaven and Earth Designs (flowers are part of the piece, just haven't gotten to them!)
Wedding Sampler by Carolyn Manning
Tuscan Greeting by Dimensions (another where I haven't gotten to the tranquil garden part yet, but it fits!)
Winter Flowers Ornament by Turquoise Graphics and Designs
Fall Fairy by Dimensions Gold Collection
Garden of Joy Ornament by Turquoise Graphics and Designs
Sweet Pea Fairy by Joan Elliott
Butterfly Fairy by Joan Elliott (perhaps no flowers or gardens in the piece, per se, but where else would you find a Butterfly Fairy?)
Wow! I didn't realize how many from the Crazy January Challenge would fit this theme! Based on my rotation schedule, I should have one more addition to this list plus an update on one already on this list by the time we have our final check in on January 31st! How did you do on the theme this month?
Come back later tonight for the update to my final new start for the Crazy January Challenge! Just need to put the kids in bed so I can start stitching!
Until next time!

Crazy January Challenge - Fall Fairy
This is the last of the four kits that are part of this challenge. This piece actually has an HAED counterpart, which is on my wishlist to do some day. In the meantime, I do really like this beautiful piece!
Thursday's aren't always condusive for me stitching as I tend to bring my kids over to my parents' house for dinner and we don't get home until late, but I did manage to get a few stitches in today!
Yes, the background fabric is blue, that's not just my flash this time!
Tomorrow is the first TUSAL for the year! Can't wait!
Until next time!
