As always, I'll start off with my TUSAL jar from last month. Here is where we were in November:

And from the top! Here is November:

I bet you know where all those pretty oranges and reds on the top are from! In fact, I added ORT's this month from not only Flames of Desire, but also Tribal Penguin, My Witch's Brew, European Bistro, and Italian Vista. So, now the question becomes, what to do with all of these ORT's...six months worth to be exact...and I knew the perfect answer!
My 2012 TUSAL ORT ornament! Isn't it pretty?? I got all those ORTs compacted into one ornament and I think it's just beautiful! I love seeing the colors of the threads, especially those from earlier projects that I haven't worked on because they were completed a long time ago. It's already hanging on my tree and this will definitely be a new tradition every year!
Thank you for all of your kind comments on my Advent Calendar Blog Post - I love those stockings and I'm glad you do too!
Until next time!

What a lovely way to store your orts. I hope your headache has gone.
ReplyDeleteA great new tradition you are starting and a clever way of using the ORTs up too.
ReplyDeleteYou had lots of orts there! I think it is nice to see all the thread colors you have used throught out the year. I have to get one of those ornaments and do the same thing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! That's really special
ReplyDeleteThat's a fabulous way to use up the ORTs. Might be nice to put a date on the bauble somewhere so that you can remember which year each one came from if you intend to keep the tradition going. Where did you get the empty bauble from - I can never find them? Hope the headache's gone by now.X
ReplyDeleteKaty,
ReplyDeleteThat is a perfect idea for the end of the year for orts. I hope your sinus headache goes away in time for this weekends IHSW.
Love your ort ornament Katy. Sure wish I could find clear ornaments around here.

o that is quite a lot of ORTs! I was going to attempt this myself but I have such a piddly amount, lol! It's fun to see them all jumbled together though. :D
