Beauty and the Beast Falling in Love

Yesterday was my daughter's 9th birthday! I can't believe she's halfway to eighteen. Is there a way we can make them stop growing? Ugh!

But between birthday festivities and a somewhat hard day with my PMDD, I didn't get a lot of stitching done. What little stitching I did do was done on Beauty and the Beast Falling in Love by Thomas Kinkade from the Disney Dreams Collection.

I put some more stitches into the beautiful sky yesterday.

I keep looking at the castle each time I pick this piece up and debate on if I should finish it out on the other page it's on in the pattern. I may do that next time to get a break from the green country side and the sky. We'll see.

Until next time!

  1. I would be tempted to work on the castle on the next page too, but it looks fabulous! Such great work.

  2. If you find a way to stop our children from aging please let me know. My son was 9 a long long time ago haha. Now he's 17 and we would give anything to have be 9 again. Sorry you had a bad health day. Happy Bday to your daughter! The piece is gorgeous. I don't blame you for wanting to finish the castle though.

  3. I kind of "collect" the Dreams cross stitch. I debate Sleeping Beauty every once and a while, but when I think about all those fractionals and french knots, I shove it back in its hole pretty darn quick!

  4. My oldest is 13, and I still haven't found a way to stop her from growing up so fast! Happy birthday to your daughter. Beautiful piece! So many bright colors.

  5. My eldest was 7 last weekend - where have those years gone?! I've told him he has to slow down now. Happy birthday to your daughter.

I would definitely finish the castle, just to prevent any lines due to change in tension - that would be my excuse anyway!

  11. My oldest is 12 now, he needs to stop right there! My youngest is only 6 but still a toddler really,
I would definitely complete the castle, I don't like the line finish, I like to do each component as one. Just one more stitch LOL
