Framing The Flavors

I got a bit more work done on Mediterranean Flavors today, including turning the bottom right corner of the red frame outline in the picture to help start establishing the boundaries of the piece!
As of 2/27/13
Sorry for the wrinkles! I had to move my hoop frame today (small frame for a small piece), and I do not iron pieces until they're completely finished, as I absolutely detest ironing and will only do it once for a piece!

Until next time!

  1. looking lovely Katy, you could call the hoop marks progress rings from where you have to move the hoop to stitch another area!

  2. It looks great! I like stitching the borders on designs to make sure I have enough fabric around the edge, just in case I started in the wrong place!

  3. Great idea. I feel it's easier to fill in once you've got the border done, or maybe it's just easier psychologically :P

  7. I always stitch the border first if there is one. Your stitching is coming along nicely. I don't use a hoop for much, if anything. Just used one though for 32 count, to stretch the fabric a little to see the holes. lol Happy Stitching!! :)
