B is for...
Welcome to the next installment of the A to Z Blogging Challenge! For today's portion of the Once Upon A Time Character Alphabet, I present to you:
Belle of Beauty and the Beast fame! In the show, Belle is the local librarian in Storybrooke as well as the wife to her "Beast", Mr. Gold (aka Rumpelstiltskin - you'll see him later this month! Told you things get complicated...) You'll notice that this letter has two characters in it rather than just one like A had. That's because there are many characters in Once Upon A Time who have both a "fairy tale" persona and a "real world" one because of the curse that brought them out of the world of the Enchanted Forest and into Storybrooke in our world. Belle is one such character!

Awesome idea for the blog challenge! I'd love to get into cross-stitching but have no idea where to even begin. Any suggestions?

Thanks so much! When I got into cross stitching as a kid, I started with some pretty basic kits I got at my local hobby shop (Michael's, Joann's, Hobby Lobby, etc.). It's not a difficult hobby insomuch as it is really just following a pattern and poking holes in fabric with needle and thread
DeleteBeautiful Belle :-) That's my B today, too. They look terrific, Katy.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI initially thought your beads were french knots and I thought they were the best knots I had ever seen! I'm probably going to bead too (because I HATE french knots)...good job!
ReplyDeleteHaha no...I can do a decent French Knot but I don't like them much. Substituting for beads in this piece I think is going to work so much better! Yay bling!
DeleteAwesome :) I'm loving watching other people stitch this pattern
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm loving stitching the pattern!
DeleteI am pretty sure that in Once Upon A Time, it was Lacey French not Belle French
ReplyDeleteYes it was for a couple of episodes when she didn't remember who she was. The designer decided to stick with Belle since that's what she's been for the overwhelming majority of the show and I liked that too!
DeleteVery cute! I love fairytales.
ReplyDeleteAre you cross-stitching your way through the entire A to Z Challenge? Now THAT'S impressive!
Yep, that's exactly what I'm doing! Thanks!
DeleteThey look really good! I was just thinking about how many of these you will have completed by the end of April. That will be quite a collection! :)
ReplyDeleteYep, an entire alphabet! I'm stitching them all on one piece of fabric so it will be a nice completed piece by the end of the month!
DeleteBelle looks great Katy. How in the heck are you getting both stitched in an evening.
ReplyDeleteLinda
I'm a few days ahead with my letters honestly so I can be sure I won't fall behind! Lol!
DeleteAnother great post and great finish! I hope you're enjoying this challenge as much as I do.
ReplyDeleteEvalina, This and that...
Thanks, I am!
DeleteI love following this one. Belle is a great character in the show.
ReplyDeleteBelle looks lovely! :D
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I too used beads instead of french knots on my last finish, I can't seem to get them look even:(
