This is a neat three dimensional piece that is stitched as separate motifs on two different colors of perforated paper and then put together for the final piece. There are several different angels in this line done in a similar way. If this one works out well, I may do others! I figured this one was a good one to start with though, since it is all about cross stitch!
I was able to finish one motif yesterday, the little dog on silver perforated paper:
Wow, that is not a centered picture at all! Oh well LOL I will be stitching all of the motifs before I cut any of them out. Less likely to lose a piece that way!
Until next time!

Haven't started this one, but I stitched the Gingerbread angel and lost one of the bits. I restitched it, sewed everything together and then found it again! So I stitched another angel just to use it! Have fun - I really love Brooke's pieces.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat start! I haven't tried stitching on perforated paper, but it looks intriguing. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteThat looks interesting! Very pretty and good start with the dog.
ReplyDeleteAnother great start Katy. That dog is adorable.

Wow, that's interesting! It'll be cool to see this develop :D
ReplyDeleteShe's a beauty, with all those details. Great start, had to get a second look, oh yeah there's the dog there:)
ReplyDeleteI'm laughing at Sandie right now! I do like Brooke's figures. I have the series of witches but have only started one.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo! Couldn't let it go to waste now could I?? Ha! Ha!
DeleteI love the look of these angels. They're in my long list of "one day" stitching projects (the list of projects I've admired but haven't purchased!)
ReplyDeleteOh beautiful!
