Stitch Maynia - Mixed Berry Cheesecake

Yesterday was day seven of Stitch Maynia and the second of three pieces in which I'm using flosses and silks I've not used before. Day seven saw me start Mixed Berry Cheesecake by Glendon Place.

This is a smaller, limited edition piece that is part of Glendon Place's Dessert Mandala collection (I have them all in my stash) and came as a kit complete with 28 Cashel Linen in Bashful from Picture This Plus, beads, and all the Dinky Dye silks you need, including a special limited edition silk. This is where I stopped yesterday:

I really enjoyed working with the Dinky Dyes silks, even if this pattern had such specific instructions on how long to cut the lengths of the multi-colored silk to make sure all of the colors laid right in the pattern. I decided that I will, for sure, use the Dinky Dyes silks in the other Glendon Place patterns in my stash. That can be cost prohibitive though if I bought them all at once since Dinky Dyes silks aren't cheap, but if I figure out what I need, picking up one or two here and there won't be nearly as bad!

Until next time!
